Fourteen years ago, this is where our Projects started … feeding children at Dieu Donne and Goxhill Primary Farm Schools, and it’s never stopped. Felicity Champkins ensures that about 300 young children enjoy at least one sustaining meal every week. At Christmas time there’s a big party for everyone. The Project has expanded to include families and individuals affected by HIV/AIDS — child-headed households, people too ill to work, grandmothers caring for the children of deceased daughters.
This project is assisted by the ladies of our District who make 20 to 40 litres of soup weekly. SPAR provides food. The Underberg Congregational Church and Felicity Champkins herself provide funds. Generation Joy School Group, USA, provides gifts and play materials.
